JAPANESE FUYU PERSIMMON Grafted Tall Nice Plant ship with pot. The most widely grown persimmon tree.

The Fuyu Persimmon Tree, part of the Japanese Persimmon Tree family, also called Fuyugaki persimmon, is one of the most popular fresh eating Japanese persimmon plants in the world. This non-astringent, large, round, flattened fruit has reddish-orange skin when ripe. The Fuyu Persimmon tree bears at a young age and is a heavy producer. The fruit is seedless and is excellent for fresh eating or cooking.

Bears young and yields large crops. The name translates to “winter persimmon”. The Fuyu ripens Sept-Nov and is as sweet and crisp as an apple.

Slightly drooping branches provide an elegant look in the landscape. Deep-orange fruit is medium-sized and oblate in shape, with a consistently sweet taste. A delicious seasonal treat, Fuyu persimmons can be enjoyed in various stages of ripeness: from firm to slightly soft. Keeps well for several weeks. Non-astringent. Seedless. Heat-tolerant. Grafted. Self-pollinating.
