Avocado trees are self-pollinating and you’ll get a nice harvest with just one tree. They DO NOT require another variety in order to produce fruit. However, having a Type A and Type B avocado tree increases the chance of successful pollination and fruit set. Brogdon is a type B, with avocados ripening from August through October.
