Super Julie Mangos are a mid season mango between June – July. Super Julie is a higher levels of production relative to Mango and better disease resistance.
Super Julie Mangos are small to medium mangos. Super Julie tends to produce larger and plumper fruit when compared to Julie.
From a color perspective, Super Julie is a beautiful mango. As the fruit ripens, the skin will transition to an orange color (similar to Julie), however it will also develop a beautiful red ruby color all around the fruit.
Super Julie’s orange flesh is fiberless, juicy and has a soft texture that will melt in your mouth. The main difference in texture is that Super Julie is definitely juicier than Julie.
The fruit is sweet and has a very intense “Caribbean sweet spice” flavor along with some acidic and resinous notes that are present in every bite. Additionally, there is also a ‘zing’ flavor component that is very reminiscent of Carrie and Ugly Betty.
