Joining the ranks of other top-tier ‘coconut-flavor’ mangos such as Sugarloaf & Coconut Cream, M-4 Mango offers the opportunity to enjoy an exceptionally delicious mango later in the season, ripening from August through September.
This small to medium sized tree can realistically be kept between 10 – 15 ft tall.
M-4 Mangos are considered small to medium fruit that can weigh between 10 – 20 oz.
The fruit has a sweet aroma laced with notes of citrus. Furthermore, the fruit’s light-yellow fiberless flesh has a very enjoyable texture that is both smooth and creamy. While the flesh is more on the firmer side, it will nevertheless melt in your mouth.
From a flavor perspective, M-4 Mangos have a very sweet, rich and complex flavor. There is a slight sub-acid citrus component to the flavor that creates a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. Relative to other mangos in its flavor class, M-4 seems to have a more prominent coconut-flavor than the popular Coconut Cream.
