The Lemon Meringue Mango is considered a medium to large size tree. The tree has a vigorous, spreading & vertical growth habit.
Very productive trees, often creating many beautiful clusters of fruit. As the season progresses and the fruit begin ripen, it can be breathtaking to see a Lemon Meringue with hundreds of little yellow fruit on them.
Lemon Meringue Mangos are considered small fruit that can weigh anywhere between 6 – 12 oz. If you do want larger fruit, this can be accomplished via fruit thinning.
The fruit’s shape is oblong and elongated. As the fruit ripens, the skin will transition into an attractive yellow, almost golden color.
The Lemon Meringue’s aroma can best be described as a spicy-mango citrus. Cutting into the fruit will reveal a light yellow flesh that is fiberless, soft, creamy and very juicy.
The Lemon Meringue’s flavor is mild, sugary sweet and does not have a lot of complexity. It has a very balanced citrus flavor, similar to a perfectly ripened lemon with an ideal balance between sweet and tart. This strong citrus flavor gives the mango a “Lemon Mango Candy” vibe that is so enjoyable.
